We had moved the sheep shed away from the field for the winter, storing it behind the shipping container which we use for storage. Today I raked up all the ground under the shed and filled a wheelbarrow twice with well-rotted sheep manure which will go in the polytunnel and on the garden. It was a back breaking job after a winter of inactivity. Time to get fit!

The sheepskins have arrived back from the tanner in Tampere. They are really beautiful, thick, long and woolly. Some of them have a slightly frizzy curl to them, others are straighter. In fact each one is slightly different. So we have twelve of them and I am keeping one of the light brown ones for my office chair. It has a small hole in one side, which must've happened at the abattoir, but the others are all perfect. So one more brown one and the rest are black.
